XIV Planner Project

STATUS: preorders open!

Our goal is to create a curated, collaborative fan-made weekly planner inspired by and celebrating the world of Final Fantasy XIV that can be useful to those who inhabit it!The finished product will contain spoilers up to 7.0.

General FAQ

Q. Will it ship by Christmas?
Preorders will be open until the end of January 2026, so it will unfortunately not be shipped in time for the holidays.
Q. Will the planner be for a specific year?
Nope! Both month and week pages are left undated and unmarked, so you can begin using it at any time of year and pick right up where you left off if you ever fall out of the habit of using it; none of it will go to waste!
Q. Will any Warriors of Light be making an appearance?
Only as Meteor! The focus will primarily be on the NPCs and locations of Eorzea and beyond.
Q. What about Dawntrail?
Dawntrail is present in the planner. As such, please note that there will be spoilers up until 7.0 (but no further)!

o/ Hello! I'm a freelance illustrator who's self-published over 10 zines and been participating in collaborative fan projects for nearly a decade now. My brain has been devoured by this game and this is the only way left for me to process that.

PROMPT GUIDE

As a baseline, all page artists are invited to create one simple 2-page calendar spread and four 2-page week spreads, to represent a month, though specific months and dates will not be marked, to allow for flexibility on the user end. Each of these spreads are to be drawn over and around standard templates provided for you, with either a calendar grid or days of the week already allocated for you, so the bulk of your illustrations will only have to take up a small portion of the page.

The goal for this planner is for the spreads to loosely chart the chronological events of MSQ. To this end, every page artist will be assigned a prompt for all of their spreads. You will then have a fair amount of freedom to execute your prompt however you choose, working with the mod team to ensure a balanced final project.

A REALM REBORNThe events and locations of 2.0. Can include Ardbert and Co. if you're so inclined. You'll have to draw a primal or two.
HEAVENSWARDThe events and locations of 3.0. You have to draw at least one dragon.
HVW PATCHESThe events of 3.1 ~ 3.5. Also includes the Alexander raid series, the void ark alliance raids, and the warring triad questline.
STORMBLOODThe events and locations of 4.0.
STB PATCHESThe events of 4.1 ~ 4.5. Also includes the Omega raid series, the Ivalice alliance raids, and the four lords questline.
SHADOWBRINGERSThe events and locations of 5.0.
SHB PATCHESThe events of 5.1 ~ 5.5. Also includes the Eden raid series, the Nier alliance raids, and the sorrow of Werlyt questline.
ENDWALKER PT 1The first half of 6.0. Includes Sharlyan/Labyrinthos, Radz-at-Han/Thavnair, Garlemald, and the level 83 trial. Expected to communicate with EDW pt 2 to avoid overlap.
ENDWALKER PT 2The latter half of 6.0. Includes Labyrinthos, Thavnair, Mare Lamentorium, Elpis, and Ultima Thule. Expected to communicate with EDW pt 1 to avoid overlap
EDW PATCHESThe events of 6.1 ~ 6.5. Also includes the Pandæmonium raid series and the myths of the realm alliance raids.
DAWNTRAILThe events of 7.0. Obviously, since none of us know what those are yet, this may result in tighter turnaround time.
BONUS PAGESAdditional spreads specifically designed for ffxiv-specific activities such as crafting and raid notes. These will have unique templates, and are not part of our weekly narrative journey, so you will not be tied to representing a specific part of MSQ.

Regarding splitting multiple spreads between two different prompts: For the sake of keeping all of this streamlined and organized, we will be giving each artist only one expansion for their full allotted number of spreads. However, once assignments have been handed out, you are free to discuss among the other artists and swap pages between each other (i.e. the artist with the heavensward prompt does one of their four pages for dawntrail instead, and vice versa), so long as you clear it with the mod team during the pitch phase.

Our currently planned schedule for the planner. This is liable to change, as the production turnaround may encounter complications or in case of emergency, but we'll be sure to update you if any changes occur.
